A pair of CIA agents help bring down one of the agency's biggest moles, Aldrich Ames, in the 1990s.

It's 69AD in Rome and streetwise hustler Marcus Didius Falco gets caught up in the death of the son of a man close to the new emperor, Vespasian. Hired by the victim's sister to discover the truth, Falco and his newly acquired slave, the gladiator Justus, uncover plots involving a cult which reaches into the Imperial household.

Later, in the caves he re-appears and in the ensuing fight falls over a cliff edge after the money. Steve throws the incriminating document after him. Melodrama involving a treasure hunt and an old blackmail system during the war, which is cleared up by a bodyguard.

After the attack of 9/11, John Walker Lindh is accused of killing an American hero. John is then arrested and put on trial as the true cause of John's death is uncovered.

The enemy's success in smuggling a spy through the lines places the Stratiria armies in a dangerous position. For his heroism, Pettrus is promised a promotion, but after his recovery from his severe wounds, he is humiliated through the treachery of Danick Rysson, a government official who desires to marry Floria Natarre, Pettrus' beloved. Bitter, Pettrus listens to the overtures of one of the enemy and steals the new telegraph code. Soon after Pettrus is again made an ardent supporter of his country when he is awarded his promotion. He then follows the spy to the frontier and recovers the crucial document.

Prom runs away with his rich girlfriend. After awhile he becomes a drunk while his wife is very ill. She eventually dies and Prom promises to establish a good life for his son so he lets the monk take care of him until he is stable. 20 years or so later, his son Pariwat is bullied for his status and such and Prom becomes rich involving drug dealing. Prom and his boss's wife are having an affair and the wife is crazy about him. Prom finds out Pariwat is his son and is always out to protect him but never tells him who he truly is.
